Daly and Macia

Much to his dismay, kids love Daly.

 The feeling is not mutual.

We do give him credit for self-control, though.  This is just after he'd had enough and fled the scene before doing anything he'd regret:

He needed some space.  And a thick pane of glass between himself and the little girl.

A little pre-bath boogie

Ellis loves baths and singing, Maci loves nudity and dancing (that sounds dangerous).  So this was the perfect pre-bath boogie time.  If you'll notice M's hips you might be able to tell that she was doing her signature hip shakes  :)  I love those cheeks.  There is also a Youtube video (search Mom2Ellis)

Macia's FIRST Birthday Party!

The spread:  a brunch with eggs benedict casserole, sausages, pancakes, berries, angel food cake, blueberry pancake cupcakes with maple frosting, fruit, juice and coffee.

 Despite Grammy's best efforts, Maci decided to gear up for the party by skipping her nap...

First cupcake and frosting ever:

 A slow start, but...

 Girlfriend managed to polish off the entire cupcake, minus the drips of frosting that escapes to her chest and belly.

  I feared there would be lots of crying thanks to going into the party without a nap, but this moment was the only unhappy face I saw on M all morning.  She had a great time!
