First Bath

 First bath last night (other than the sponge baths we had to do before her cord fell off)---It was a family affair and Macia loved every second of it.  She was in heaven and Ellis loved helping.

I thought the computer had lost this photo, which was really disappointing because I was so enjoying this moment of cuddling on the couch with both of the girls and wanted to remember it...but the computer redeemed itself and miraculously brought back the picture two days later:

Darling Childrens

Ellis: Darling, I love you as much as I love.

Me: I love you, too, Darling.

Ellis: No, you're Darling. I'm Rapunzel.

.......

So lately, I'm "Darling" and Gabe is "Childrens" when Ellis addresses us. Don't ask, because I have no idea.

Maci had her two-week check-up today. She weighs 10 oz. more than her birth weight (so she now weighs just under 8 lbs.) I was expecting an appointment just like I remember with Ellis when she was teeny. She hated being put on the scale and would scream accordingly each time...and pretty much any time the doctor looked at her she would get almost just as upset. I think this is because she had to deal with being poked and prodded in the hospital for 6 weeks before her first official "doctor visit".

Maci, on the other hand, practically smiled at me while she was being weighed, she cooed while having her rectal temp taken, and spent most of the visit kicking and gurgling happily while the doc and I chatted. Two different babies.

(Everything seems just fine with Maci developmentally, medically, etc. by the way :)

Ellis (while playing with my hair): Darling, your hair is predictable.

Me: Did you just call my hair predictable?

Ellis: Yes, Darling.

Happy third birthday, Rapunzel!

Aunt Krissi came through with a Rapunzel dress that literally caused Ellis to jump up and down when she saw what it was. And the Rapunzel hair was the perfect addition, thanks to Aunt Janae.
