Ellis and the Gibbon

Here is E at the zoo yesterday.

Ellis walked the whole zoo for the first time. We saw everything and she didn't ride in the stroller once. We walked for over 2 and a half hours (in an attempt to enjoy the day, as well as encourage her baby sister to come sooner :)

And me around age 3?

My mom wanted to see a comparison between Ellis and I when I was this age. Here's the best I could come up with:

Petition

In case you haven't checked out the petition banner at the top of my blog, I wanted to mention that it's petitioning a hospital that has denied a little girl a life-saving transplant because of her cognitive delays. She's three years old and will die without a new kidney. Check out her story. If you agree that it's appalling to deny her life based on her cognitive abilities, it only takes a minute to sign.

Guesses?

I'm guessing most of the people who read this aren't checking it too regularly since I haven't been updating too regularly. However, I'm so anxious to meet our little baby girl and have no way of knowing when she'll come, so in my waiting I'd like to see what you think. Anyone out there have a guess? I'm due on Sunday...

Stockshow Parade

Ellis and I joined Amy and the girls downtown for the Stockshow Parade. Almost immediately after meeting up, the three girls broke into 'Ring Around the Rosie' of course:

Followed by running in circles and giggling:


A short walk together:

And finally lots of waving at all of the cowboys and rodeo queens:


Before long, it was decided we'd better get closer if they were to catch any of the candy being thrown into the crowd:


Clearly, it was a very tiring day:

Christmas

These cousins played a LOT over Christmas. Ellis and Samantha together were lots of fun to watch. We hope they'll be great friends as they grow up, and this week was a great start (since last time they were together, neither seemed to notice the other much :)

Ellis is a bit more...forthcoming with her affection, but Sam tolerated this difference very well, head-lock hugs and all:

Our Early Christmas

On Christmas Eve morning we woke up and had our first "Christmas" in our new home before driving down to the Springs to spend the rest of Christmas with family.
